Bohm and Meinl started their company in 1948 and were mainly known for their high quality tubas. They produced for the York Company. In 1992 Bohm-Meinl was purchased by grandson Walter Nirschl who started the BM Symphonic line of professional Brass Instruments, that still exists today.
