About the maker:
This is an Amati ATR-382 Piccolo Trumpet made in 1992, serial number 1667.
I always wanted a piccolo trumpet, so when it was for sale for a couple of Euros because the previous owner said the valves weren't good, I just had to buy it. Guess they didn't realize you sometimes have to clean and break-in a factory-new trumpet. Then I dropped one of the valves when cleaning, doubling the cost...
When I saw the De Prins piccolo trumpet, I knew it was a better fit for my collection, so this Amati moved on to a new home.
